District Twelve - Coal
During the first days of the Mockingjay Rebellion District Twelve was destroyed by fire bombs leaving it desolated. After the Capitol defeated the rebellious Districts the survivors from Thirteen were abandoned in the empty Twelve with nothing but a stack of pick axes. Over time a small community was built and food provisions were supplied to the District on a large scale.
A high peacekeeper presence means that Twelve is one of the most secure and rebellion free of the Districts in the Capitols eyes. The People of Twelve are known for looking constantly tired and hungry and harsh punishments are common.
Children reaped from District Twelve are usually poor and starving, the small population of Twelve increasing their chances of entering the games. 99% of eligible children take tessarae grain and oil from the Capitol for their families.

Info: Living with his elderly and dying Grandmother, Velorum tends to get frustrated and angry easily. He is grumpy and crabby most of the time but understands exactly what to say to calm people down. He has stubbornly decided not to talk till he is either dead or a victor.

Maddie Peters (13)
Info: Injured at a young age by a stray mutt Maddie has lost the use of one of her arms which hangs limly at her side. She keeps positive though and tries her best to hide her disability with a smile.
Strengths: Positive, Helpful, Knowledge of edible plants and insects.
Weaknesses: Disabled, Untrained, Slow
